Ruth Wilson

Ruth Wilson is a two-time Olivier Award winner and Golden Globe Award winner. She has made her Broadway debut with Nick Payne's Constellations alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. The most famous of her roles is her part as Alison Lockhart in the Showtime series "The Affair" (Golden Globe Award). Film credits include The Little Stranger, Dark River, I Am the Pretty Thing It Lives In the House The Suite FranASSaise, Locke, Saving Mr. Banks, The Lone Ranger and Anna Karenina. The latter two at the Donmar Warehouse she won Olivier Awards, Best Actress in Anna Christie, opposite Jude Law and Best Actress in A Streetcar Named Desire with Rachel Weisz. Wilson was nominated to receive the Olivier Award for Best Actress for Hedda Gabler at the National Theatre. Wilson appeared in BBC's "Luther," nominated for 8 Emmy Awards. Wilson received BAFTA as well as Golden Globe nominations for Best Lead Actress in"Jane Eyre," the BBC miniseries "Jane Eyre." In 2007 the actress made her London debut with Maxim Gorky's Philistines on The National Theatre.
